Legendary singer and musician Roberta Flack donated her 1922 Steinway piano to MIM, her first professional-quality piano and a treasured instrument.

Buddy Rich is widely recognized as one of the world’s greatest drummers. He played this Slingerland drum set for many years on The Tonight Show.

MIM’s Elvis Presley exhibit features guitars, stage outfits, awards, and rare memorabilia from Graceland’s collection thanks to a partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Carly “Field Marshal” Barrett and Aston “Family Man” Barrett helped to define Jamaican reggae’s signature sound with Bob Marley and the Wailers. Carly’s drum set and Aston’s electric bass guitar are on display at the Wailers exhibit.

Spanish cellist Pablo Casals was one of classical music’s greatest superstars. He used this cello, which he sometimes referred to as his best friend, as his primary instrument after moving to Puerto Rico in 1957.
