Grupo BombAZo Tue. & Wed., August 27 & 28, 2024 Grupo BombAZo is a collective of Phoenix-based musicians who fell in love with bomba. Formed and led by Joe Goglia and Samuel Peña, the group performs bomba rhythms, songs, and dances and builds community. AZ Rhythm Connection Tue. & Wed., December 3 & 4, 2024 Explore musical traditions from West Africa! Students will be introduced to drumming styles and traditions from cultural groups in Ghana, Mali, and Guinea. Rhythm, movements, and call-and-response are incorporated into the performance.
