Curator Talk: MIM’s Mexico Collection—Highlights and Stories 10:30–11:00 a.m. Event Room 2 Join MIM’s curator for Latin America, Daniel Piper, for an engaging presentation on recent additions to the museum’s comprehensive collection of Mexican musical instruments, with a focus on the characteristics and histories that make each instrument remarkable and Piper’s own stories of finding and acquiring these instruments for the museum.
Performance: Music of the Americas 11:30 a.m.–noon North El Río Join the Cultural Coalition’s Carmen de Novais and Zarco Guerrero in this exciting bilingual demonstration of Indigenous and contemporary musical instruments from Mexico.
