This captivating musical showcase features the skilled musicianship of local Latin jazz and salsa band Carmela y Más alongside some of the most talented Latina vocalists in Phoenix as they pay homage to the global impact of Latina recording artists of the Americas.
Among the influential musicians celebrated during this performance are Cuban salsa singer Celia Cruz, Colombian singer Shakira, Mexican American singers Selena Quintanilla and Lila Downs, Cuban American singer Gloria Estefan, Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal, Puerto Rican American singer Jennifer Lopez, and Ecuadorian American singer Christina Aguilera.
The Latinas Divinas include singers Carmela Ramirez, Mary Hurtado-Vizzerra, Marisa Ronstadt, Diana Lee, and Dina Lopez. Guest musicians include guitarist Donna Cruz and Mariachi Estrellas Musicales.
Soulful dance and movement will be provided by NeissMoves, directed by Chelsa Neiss, and Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli, directed by Vanessa Ramirez. The show is narrated by Michelle Ponce.
