Senior Management
Craig Culy joined MIM in December 2009. His role has evolved over the years, expanding and adding new responsibilities as the museum has advanced. Craig is a strong leader within the organization, exuding a dynamic, effective, and influential leadership style that motivates a successful team.
Currently, as the executive director, he is responsible for overseeing all facets of the operations of the organization. His vision is to continue the focus on MIM’s founding principles: to deliver a world‐class guest experience through exciting programs, exhibits, and performances that delight our audiences; to foster repeat visitation; and to compel people to share their experiences.
Previously, as the museum’s chief financial officer and chief operating officer, he presided over the finance department, including the museum’s budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. He also oversaw the facilities department, the Guest Service team, and Café Allegro.
Before coming to MIM, Culy worked in the accounting and human resources fields at Whole Foods Market.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix as well as a master’s in accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
He is also on the board for the Greater Phoenix Chamber and serves as MIM’s board treasurer.
