Senior Management
Dan Lawler joined MIM in November 2023. As the director of philanthropy, he is responsible for leading MIM’s philanthropic donor endeavors. His goal is to develop and strengthen MIM’s relationships with donors, community partners, and key stakeholders, bringing to life MIM’s founding principles.
Dan graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in business management with a minor focus in marketing. He used this education as a foundation to build his career in nonprofit fundraising and leadership. He has previously worked at United Way, Catholic Charities, and the Alzheimer’s Association, where he spent his tenure as the chapter’s development director and eventually executive director.
Throughout his career, Dan has focused on creating efficient organizational structure with strong relationships across staff, volunteers, and funders. Dan has a unique blend of skills across all phases of fundraising (grant writing, individual giving, special events), effective communication (donor relations, social media engagement, corporate partnerships), and executive leadership (board development, strategic planning, organizational development and evaluation).
Dan has lived in Phoenix for over twenty years and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
