Group tours are perfect for family members, friends, and employees—or for club members, alumni, higher education groups, college students, conference attendees, and motorcoach tours. Tours for groups of all sizes are available year-round, seven days a week. Make a reservation to expedite your check-in process.
Private guided tours last one hour. You determine the length of a self-guided tour; the average visit is 3.5 hours.

Private guided tours and self-guided tours are available at no additional charge with museum admission ($20 per adult). Each admission includes a guidePORT and a headset.
General museum admission rates do not include special exhibitions or concert tickets. Travel and tourism industry professional rates are applied at time of booking.

Dive deep into a specific musical culture or topic with a self-guided tour of MIM’s current special exhibition for an additional $7 per person. Curator-led tours are offered on select dates.

Make music and rhythm together during a one-hour workshop. Learn the basics of African, Latin, and pop music hand drumming from a master instructor, then participate in a thrilling jam session.
