Celebrate the world’s most well-known 88-keyed instrument on the 88th day of the year! Spend “Piano Day 2019” at MIM and enjoy late-afternoon “pop-up” performances by Piano Fusion, a group of local keyboard enthusiasts. This live music performance will feature works by Liszt, Gershwin, and more and will include two pianos playing together in harmony on two separate floors!
First organized in 2015, the annual Piano Day now includes events in cities around the world. While you’re at MIM, check out the galleries to see some piano favorites in MIM’s collection—from the original Steinway to self-playing mechanical pianos.
