Paradise Valley Community College faculty members join to form Union32, performing jazz renditions of Rolling Stones classics.
The legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama is the birthplace of the Rolling Stones’ 1971 album Sticky Fingers. Drawn there by the power of the R&B records that were flowing out of that studio, the band ultimately would craft a wide-ranging collection of tunes, from the country-inspired “Wild Horses” to the gut punch that is “Brown Sugar.” Union32’s look at this iconic album visits every tune, painting with broader brushes—more introspective and concerned with ambience than the original’s backroom brawling style.
